Post First post... Xubuntu 14.04 Basic command (finger) , hopefully easy question for a newbie

Hey everyone my name is Ayrek (pronounced Eric), this is my first post. I have been using Linux on and off for many many years just for personal use like configuration, personalizing, Conky, GRUB 2, and mostly rtorrent. I learned most of what I know using Backtrack 5 KDE. Everyone tells me that may have been the worst distribution to learn on but, I enjoyed it, because every time I messed it up I would have to learn how to fix it; you could say I broke it a lot. I actually have my LPIC-1 certification, which is slightly contradicting to me posting in the newbies forum...That being said, on my personal computer, I was attempting to log into it without the system knowing I was there or having any record my presence... Also before anyone says anything, it is my PC I just enjoy learning. Hopefully this is an easy answer for someone..

Getting down to it, the finger command says there are 2 users logged into my system, more precisely myself twice. I have done some major Googling but I don't understand what the *:0 for my terminal session means, and why I am logged in twice?

Uptime, finger, and last give me this:

ayrek@ayrek-Latitude-E7450:~/Desktop$ uptime
22:17:37 up 6:40, 2 users, load average: 0.16, 0.24, 0.22

ayrek@ayrek-Latitude-E7450:~/Desktop$ sudo finger -s
[sudo] password for ayrek:
Login Name Tty Idle Login Time Office Office Phone
ayrek Linux *:0 Apr 1 15:37 (:0)
ayrek Linux pts/0 Apr 1 17:20 (:0.0)

ayrek@ayrek-Latitude-E7450:~/Desktop$ last
ayrek pts/11 :0.0 Fri Apr 1 20:10 - 20:10 (00:00)
ayrek pts/11 :0.0 Fri Apr 1 20:09 - 20:09 (00:00)
ayrek pts/0 :0.0 Fri Apr 1 17:20 still logged in

The :0 (and :0.0) are used for X display references. The pts/0 is a pseudo terminal (used for terminal windows...)

The :0 is used by the X server to identify itself as the users login, even though there is no terminal attached (which is why the terminal is identified as *:0).

Awesome thank you. It wasn't pertinent it was simply throwing me off a bit. One less gray area I have!
