Firewire hard drive not mounting
I have a western digital hd connected through my firewire pci card. Im pretty new to linux, so im still trying to figure out the command line part. Im running slackware 10.2
this is what i get when i type mount /dev/hda2 on / type ext2 (rw) -my linux partition on 1st hdd proc on /proc type proc (rw) /dev/hda2 on /home type nfts (ro) -my windows partition on 1st hdd /dev/sda1 on /home type nfts (ro) -windows partition on 2nd hdd devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620) usbfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw) So my ext. hard drive isnt showing up on there, and im clueless on what to do about it. I read a forum posting about ext hdd's, but it was explaining how to format and partition, but this one is already partitioned to fat32, i just need to mount it. Im not sure if linux is seeing that it's plugged in or not. Any advice? thanks |
