Firewall_or_cPanel Log

Hello there,

I am working with CentOS & cPanel.

I have a site edc.org.kw/en in the same server..And i am trying to activate a "Jetpack" Plug-in in a wordpress website.

When i try to activate the plug-in replies says "Site need to accessible publicly. Empty Response from server"..(plug-in will connect to wordpress.com and activates)

When i check with Wordpress & JetPack team their reply is as follows

-----------------------------
Our test that determines if your server is able to talk to itself, fails. Do you perhaps have a very restrictive firewall or other security on your site?

In addition, the HTTPS connection times out. When I load https://www.edc.org.kw/en/, I'm redirected to an entirely different site. This is likely the reason Jetpack fails to connect.
----------------------------

Kindly sir, can you suggest how can i troubleshoot this OR how can i see log..

I have tried opening Any to Any (IP) Accept rule in the firewall but no luck..

You need to open port 443 on the firewall. That is the port for https. The ip will not matter as long as that port is still blocked.

What other plugins do you have activated? Something is causing a redirect on your site.

Actually i am worried about HTTPS redirect.

I disabled all plug-ins and I am trying to activate JetPack. Then plug-in says

"Site is not accessible publicly, and empty response from server".

So i am looking for a workaround to fix Or troubleshooting tips to find out what could be the reason.

Regards

It looks like the https is not setup on the correct ip. Check with who ever you have the domain signed with and make sure the settings are correct. If the ip does not match the domain it redirect to another domain.

It is also possible that in the .htaccess file there is rule redirecting https to that domain as well check it also.

Who ever signed the https certificate, that is who you have to check with. You have to have a signed certificate to use the secure http connection. If you do not then the https socket will do you no good at all.

Usually the domain registrar or some other company will issue you the certificate to install on your domain. Then you can use the https connection.

The http connection is fine but if you try to use https connection it redirects you, which tells me either there is a redirect in place or the certificate for the site is messed up.
