Firewall through Virtual maschine with Damn Small Linux
Hi ive recently tried to setup a Firewall via Virtual Box with Damn Small Linux.
When i started the Firewall through Virtual box with Linux everything starts fine. Now i want to change the passwort for the firewall. When its started i right click destop System/Daemons/ssh/start. after that i again right click destop XShells/rootaccess/transparent. A windows called (Root Shell) pops up and i enter passwd now it tells me to enter my new passwort at this point i cant type in anything not anymore. Iam a complete noob when it comes to Linux i hope someone can help me. No one? |
What is the significance of this forum if i dont get an answer to my question?

as per the other now closed thread
you CAN type in the password but JUST like Microsoft and Apple and IBM unix and BSD you can NOT SEE THE PASSWORD depending on the program you see ********* or XXXXXXXXXXX or " nothing " |
