Post Firestarter


hi,

im running Mandriva Linux on a i686 machine and dont know if Firestarter (firewall) will work, as i cant see any download option for Mandriva. www.fs-security.com/download.php

Shorewall have said on their homepage that Firestarter is a better option for newbies for some reason!

lists firestarter for Mandriva 10.2. Right version for you? Shorewall is more capable,
more complex rules, but therefore, more complicated to use. If you can click next, you can set up firestarter.

I strongly recommend using firestarter Iam using it on Mandrake 10.1. ........ it allows you to configure your network in 3 simple steps......... furthermore, you could try urpmi -v firestarter if you have connfigured your repositaries

thanks for replying! im just need one for general web and p2p, nothing with bells and whistles

firestarter sounds about the best for a newbie to install for now.
