What kink of files have you downloaded? Method of installation depends on type of file: .tar.gz, .rpm, .bin, .jar, or some other.

The latest versions of Fedora usually have the latest Firefox releases which you can install by doing
Code:
#yum install Firefox

Just unzip is e.g.
Code:
$tar zxvf firefox-{VERSION}.tar.gz
After that move the directory to somewhere like /opt and then to execute Firefox, you would need to enter the command /opt/firefox/firefox. You may also need to edit your menu and desktop shortcuts so that they point to the new version of Firefox.
