checking for pango >= 1.10.0... Requested 'pango >= 1.10.0' but version of Pango is 1.8.1

configure: error: Library requirements (pango >= 1.10.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

how to solve this problem what is PKG_CONFIG,where i have to change can any one help me

Nylex 01-09-2008 01:30 AM

Obviously you need to install a newer version of Pango. There's some info about pkg-config here. To set the environment variable you do "export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=$PKG_CONFIG_PATH:/new/directories/to/add"·
