Firefox in Menu
How can I get Firefox to show up in Start > Internet > Web Browsers > Firefox? I have the program installed already... THis is for KDE in Mandrake 10.1

Check Lost&found. Is it there? For some reason that is where it goes on my KDE. I just use Menu editor and move it. If it's not there I believe you can add it from menu editor. Just use the command you use in a xterm to launch it.

If you installed it from a Mandrake rpm, then it should automatically show up in your menu. If you have installed using another method, then you need to add it to your menu, using Menudrake.

where is the lost and found? |
No lost & found in menu? Oh yeah my fc2 install doesn't have lost and found in the menu. Thats crazy, both are the same version and everything is the same. In fc2 it put it where it was supposed to(RPM install). If you just use the universal installer Id say update the menu, Slackware has it under settings, my fedora core not sure. If that don't work......Okay how about right click on desktop create new, link to app, under command enter the command used to open firefox from command line, create(or whatever it is, apply....ok...etc).Then open your menu editor and right click on desktop icon, copy, Navigate to Internet on menu edit right click paste. did that work? work on fc2, if not thats all I got, Sorry

I got it by just manually adding the icon by using Menudrake. Luckily there was a firefox icon somewhere that I could pick, so it looks like it should.
