firefox greying out
During my recent session Firefox greyed out right while I was using after about 5 min. of use. What is wrong? No control other than close it.

"Greyed out"?
Are you talking about "losing the focus", ie you switched (clicked) on the desktop or another program, thu bringing the new program to the foreground?
If yes, then either click on Firefox itself or use <alt-tab> (in KDE) to switch to Firefox.
Or select Firefox on the task-bar (usually at bottom of the screen, if using KDE).
We need more info!

Sometimes apps grey out because they're busy.
What were you doing with it at the time?

That's the most likely case.
In my experience, they only grey out when they're trying to do something, but they haven't yet displayed anything new to you.

I find it happens quite frequently with Youtube. Especially if I decide to stop watching a video and go back to the previous page.

I was looking at Ebay and had about 5 tabs open, for different items and the program went grey. I thought that some kind of update was going on but that was not the case. I have had no trouble since the 3 times it occurred last night. I also have not been back to Ebay either.
