Firefox extensions not showing up in toolbars

I migrated from Windows to Linux (Kubuntu). I was able to get Thunderbird transferred over OK. I thought I had Firefox transferred successfully, but I have a slight problem.

Everything transferred and I have bookmarks, settings, etc. But, I don't see my toolbars. If I select the view menu option and select toolbars, the only ones there are Navigation toolbar and Bookmarks toolbar. but none of the others. If I check Add ons, they are all there.

Why can't I see them in the View/Toolbars menu?

This is driving me nuts.

A couple of things to try:

1. Uninstall and re-install each add on.

2. If that's a no-go, backup your ~.mozilla folder, delete ~.mozilla, fire up FF, install the add-ons. I went through this procedure recently, because FF had been doing some strange things, and everything's peachy again.

Your bookmarks and settings will be preserved in the .mozillabak folder, so if #2 solves your issue, you can restore what you need.

I'm out of ideas if neither of these tips help.

cheers,

I tried both of those suggestions and it still isn't working. I know it worked when I was using Fiesty Fawn. I had been using that for awhile with no problems. I messed up something in Fiesty Fawn and had to dlete that install. I went about a month trying to survive on just Windows and couldn't stand it anymore, so I re-installed Ubuntu and upgraded to Gutsy Gibbon right away. I didn't migrate all my Windows FireFox sttings over berfore upgrading to GG. I don't know if that would have anything to do with this or not.

I'm running out of ideas on what to do. I'd really rather not go back to Fiesty and migrating. I don't know if it would do any good.
