Hello. Please tell us about the distribution you are using (fedora, ubuntu, ?) and about the browser you are trying to use (knoqueror, firefox ?). Cheers.

This doesn't look like a problem with Firefox itself. If printing also has problems since the last few days, then some system resource has been messed up somehow.

You need to recollect what changes have been done to the system (upgrading, different configurations, etc) and try to reverse those. Maybe reinstall the older version, if that one did work well.

Download this http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/product...nux&lang=en-US unarcvhive it, run it and keep us posted. (Don't know about the printer problem though).
Cheers:)

What did I supposed to do with the .tar.bz file because I have already re-installed from the reprository several time and the problem still persists.

I see. Did you try

Code:

yum install firefox
or
Code:

yum -y -t --enable=development update firefox
?

Also, you can try installing an rpm package by hand (I just googled around and found http://stephencuyos.wordpress.com/20...lated_content/ so I don't know if the site is trustworthy ).
Cheers:)

If you have any add-ons or themes in Firefox, you will need to first run it in safe mode: firefox -safe-mode. That will get it started. If it works in safe mode you know that one of your add-ons is tripping you up. From there it is a matter of trial and error disabling and re-enabling add-ons until you find the offender.
