fire fox is refusing connection

i am able to access other sites but whenever i want to access www.gmail.com it shows to error messages..
1.firefox is using proxy server connection refused
2.contact to network administrator

right so can you reach the proxy? do other sites work?

Try also command dig or nslookup and use that address.

dig www.gmail.com

If you get a good ip then try it in the browser line.

I assume your topology does not have a real proxy that you know of.
