Finding out if 32bit or 64 bit Suse 10.1

Hi,
I having a hard time looking for my OS version. I wanted to find out if the Suse 10.1 installed on my server is a 32bit or 64 bit. I tried to look at /etc/SuSe-release and it stated
SUSE LINUX 10.1 (i586)
VERSION = 10.1

I have also tried the uname -a
Linux xthreefour 2.6.16.13-4-default #1 Wed May 3 04:53:23 UTC 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Please help me

Thanks

The i386/i586/i686 designation means 32-bit. A 64-bit Linux will report x86-64 for a 64 bit system.
