Hello!

I am running a VPS with CentOS 5. I am trying to follow the instructions here http://www.cyberciti.biz/nixcraft/li...fig_step_3.php but when i get to the command about entering the network address im not sure what to do. Should i enter my public facing IP here? If not how do i find my network address, i tried ifconfig but im not really sure on the output!

Im sure you can tell im not really sure what im doing here, im following these instructions as i want to monitor my tcp traffic from a server admin point of view/

Hi, and welcome to LQ!

I've never had any dealings with virtual private servers,
so can't really answer what you should be entering. Ask the
people who host it for you?

That would be a netmask. Have a read on IP and subnetting
on wikipedia.
