Finally on Hardy Heron!

WOOT WOOT!! Hi guys!!

I'm back. I finally got Ubuntu to work on my HP Compaq 6715b :) Wireless and all. Am running 8.04 "Hardy Heron".

I want to do logo design and other graphics on Linux (can't be bothered to buy or learn Photoshop right now). Is there a powerful graphics program - maybe a Photoshop equivalent - that i can try out? The GIMP is great, just a bit fudgy in pixel quality think (I might just be using it improperly, am a novice).

Best regards,

Lloyd Dube

Gimp is pretty powerful when you know how to use it to its fullest potential. Its learning curve is pretty long however, I would think for logo design, it would be good.

If you're familiar w/ Photoshop, there's a program out there called "Gimpshop".. its Gimp, w/ Photoshop's GUI. Some find it I'm sure you can find it w/ Google, but I don't know if there's Debian/Ubuntu packages of it or not.
