OK i finally got ubuntu on my PS3 and I wanted to know a few things

How do I install adobe or any other packages that are linux compatible. I have downloaded Adobe and limewire but I don't know exactly how to install after unpacked them.

Also I am curious as to how Fedora 7 or YDL looks and I wanted to know if it were possible to have another partition on my PS3 where I could install either of them. If so how do I. I have never used linux before so i am a newbie

Installation Depends on Package File

You probably have to install this package as root. Most packages I install require installation by root. How you do that depends on your distro.

The limewire package is .deb

The java package is a tar file
I don't know if I would be able to get the java package on a ps3 since it is ppc. I would rather just do the command line function to install. I have been trying to extract and then install but I don't know how to compile or install the program
