file to convert from pictClipping extension to jpeg - macutils

I have received a file with .pictClipping extension.

When checked using the command file pict.pictClipping it returns,

AppleSingle encoded Macintosh file

I would like to convert this to jpeg or so.

How to decode this Mac file in linux. Will macutils be of any help.
I tried using convert and gimp but in vain.

Thanks in advance,

P. Viswanath
