File System Formatting

Hi All,

In our organization, we have formated hard disks in windows and using it to store files in linux system through USB port. Now I need your help to format the hard disks in ext3 filesystem format. Present file system type is VFAT.

What should I do to format the whole hard disk in ext2 or ext3 File System i.e. formatting conversion from VFAT to ext3?

Thanks in advance.
