What kind of file service did you have in mind?

The simplest will be a shared folder.
The most complex involves mysql databases and php.
Most people feel they would like something which fits their needs and skill level.

Here's a simple one:

Some friendly advice for you:

1) Read "How to ask a question", linked in my signature. There's a lot more to what you're asking than than your single-line question covers. What's your hardware, OS, and software setup like? How do you intend to use the server? What's your experience level? Give us some background to work with.

2) Try using google and the LQ search function. Questions like yours have been asked and answered repeatedly. The linux way is to do your own research first, then come back here and ask us to help you with any specific problems you encounter on the way.

In other words, show some respect for the time and effort we spend helping others by putting in some of your own first.
