File saving manager - rename instead of overwrite.
Hello.
I assume, that Linux is sufficiently optimizable for this: The file saving dialogue of Xfce/Ubuntu Studio (bootable DVD) should automatically rename the file with timestamp and number instead of offering me whether I would like to overwrite or not to save the file at all. How is that possible? I would appreciate any help. |
my filemanager does that - not exactly, and not automatically, but it does NOT overwrite anything.
which file saving dialog are you talking about? |
It depends which program you use. If nothing else you can use krename.
