File existing
 

In my Redhat system , there are many files will be copy to a directory ( eg. /tmp/ora ) , then the file will be removed by a batch job regularly , so the files may be only exist for a very short time , if I want to log what file have existed in this directory , with the file information eg . creation time , size etc , is it possible to do it ? thx

You should install and use the dnotify command. Type 'man dnotify' for more informations.
