There is no such thing. Sounds ike you are mixing up the release version with the kernel family.

How are you going about the installation?
Have you tried fedora 8?

Unfortunately you have not supplied enough information to help you.
So far there is nothing about what you have described to produce the reported result.

You have not stated which version of fedora you have tried. You have not stated how you went about the installation. Your hardware details are sketchy at best.

If you would like to try fedora 8, you can download an ISO from this website or from fedora.org You can also order a DVD from online stores. However, considering your issues, I would suggest first trying the fedora live CD. It is also possible that another distribution will suit you better or even that you have one of those rare hardware constellations which simply will not run under linux.

To help me provide the solution you need, I need to know more about the system you are trying to use and what sort of installation you want.

Which exact MSI motherboard do you have? Can you provide a link to a webpage which will tell me about your motherboard? I can understand technical pages written in English even if you cannot.

Are you using an onboard, PCI/PCI-express or AGP video card? Do you know which videocard it is?

How much RAM, and which sort, have you installed?

What kind of Hard Drive do you have, how is it connected (PATA/SATA) and what size is it? How is it partitioned?

What kind of optical drive do you have installed?

What kind of installation are you after? (Dual-boot, dedicated, other)

Which fedora have you tried? Where did you get it?

Some of this information may help provide a clue towards a solution.
