fedora18 xfce autologin

put simply, it does not. autologin i mean
I know about lightdm.conf amd pam. nothing works.
Not a problem under pclinuxos, but fedora seems primitive.
Virtually no admin interface. wireless networks very well though.
Slim did not fire up at all after installing.

I have found the same Auto login problem with Centos Gnome same family, I have not been able to get to any fix

to hell with fedora

went to mint xfce
removed uuid, went back to logical /dev/sda1
removed that dreadfull grub2 rubbish
installed kdm and hacked kdmrc
end of problem
installing kdm to fedora should work, but why bother.
compared to mint its a poor relative, with warts
