Lightbulb Fedora Redhat

FolksI am running linux on a VM when I first got it running using Dhcp, Iwas able to get on the web. Then it stopped. I checkedmy connections and everything is connected. What did I omit? Or what should Ilook at to resolve this?

Help thanks,

What VM software? What host? Does the host have network access? Is this Fedora or Redhat? They're not the same thing...and what version?

Question New Fedora 17 loaded not able to get on internet.

i am using a laptop with windows 7. I downloade Fedora 17 and the browser will not load, what I mean is the network shows that it is connected but when I click the firefox icon to get on the net it will not load. I have a FIOS internet connection. Did I miss anything in my initial set up? My internet connection is fine other wise.

Firefox won't load, or websites won't load? What if you type in the IP address directly, for example 74.125.225.200 for google.com?

you are on a laptop running a VM install of fedora 17

you are aware that a vm can not use wireless ( it is outside the VM )
plug in a cat 5 cable

READ your VM documentation !

I did not read it I am not a first year user. I did not know it could not use wireless because it has worked in the past. Even this one worked when I first installed it.

I read in the user guide that fedora 17_86 can be used with Wired or wireless, and I was already on the internet with this VM.

so fedora 17 WAS seeing the "wireless " outside the vm ? as a wireless connection

even with the new naming schema that fedora 17 is using

]Absolutely It most certainly was. However, it went of and I cannot get it to comeback I was thinking I did not properly configure my adapter or something. Is it or has the fedora 17_been having issues with wireless connection?
