Question Fedora internet connection problem..

i have shifted from ubuntu to fedora 2 days back.
in ubuntu i used to use the "pppoeconf" command which detects my network card and creates a bridged ADSL connection with a username and psswrd provided by my ISP.
i just had to use "pon dsl-provider" and "poff" commands to connect and disconnect from the internet respectively.
i edited my crontab file and added this commands to connect and disconnect automically(for my torrent downloads).

but in fedora these commands do not work..
i have to connect and disconnect my internet manually through
system-->administartion-->network (ppp0 'activate').

What commands should i use here(for the crontab file) so that my internet gets connected and discnncted at a specific time ????

In Fedora 10 they make it very easy for you there is icon on taskbar
to connect or disconnect to the internet .
At boot up it connect automatic
It is now in the Beta 2 stage now , but coming soon

i have no problem cnncting or dscnncting through GUI
but what i need is CLI commands to cnnct and dscnnct from the internet.. which i will use in the cron daemon
(as "pon" and "poff" in ubuntu)..
