Fedora installation over windows 2000

Totaly new to Linux, but want to create a lLinux ADSL server for a home network.Downloaded Yarro-i386 files to install fedora onto a windows 2000 machine. I was told that the file would be bootable but it isnt. How do I get round this to install it onto a machine that has windos2k on it.

I'm assuming that you are trying to boot a .iso file.

You need to turn this into a bootable cd. Go here and read up on how to do it.

Incidentally, unless you specify a seperate partition to install to, it will overwrite w2k.

And this is a Fedora/Linux-General question, and as such doesn't belong in the LFS forum (LFS is a different distro type) so a mod will probably move it.

Moved: Not LFS related so doesn't belong in the LFS forum.

Did you read up on how to install, and dual boot? I dont think so. You should have setup another partition on your hard drive, so linux didn't install over your win2k install. But I don't think you did that yet since you did not burn the ISO correctly. Use nero and burn the cd as a data cd/drive image that is bootable. Do some research on this first man,
