Lightbulb fedora error 2


motherboard: intel D101GGC
processor: 3.06 celeron D
Ram: 1024 MB
Modem: Smartlink 56K voice modem om com1

trying to dual boot fedora with winxp....
Modem works ok in XP, but fedora can't activate modem...returns with ERROR 2
Where do we find the meaning of linux error messages?

the driver for the modem is slmodem

Get the appropriate latest driver, compile and install it.

Read the documentation

You never get 'error 2' with the driver.
