Fedora core3 - gprs connect with usb cable on c380 motorola -HELP

I connect using motorola c380 cellular phone on Windows XP, Toshiba Laptop.
Recently I installed Fedora 3, on my Toshiba Laptop.
Well, since I don't know much about this Operating System
I'd like to ask HOW I connect using this c380 motorola with a usb modem.

I've read another tutorial, to add a line to /etc/rc.d/rc.local
with this command : ln -s /dev/ttyACM0 /dev/modem

and restart Fedora

Not working.!
Need help.
Thank You in advance
