I followed up these steps:

http://phoenix49.googlepages.com/multimedia

but after i commanded
yum -y install yumex

I got errors...

Mine is FC5 x64.
so how to solve this problem.

you don't appear to have any dns. can you ping google.com? if not check your dns servers in /etc/resolv.conf

that response is of no use... if you already know you can't get online why are you trying to use an updater program which uses the internet?

well if it didn't use the internet why would it not already be up to date on the cd? :D
