fedora core 4 problem


hi guys

i m trying to install fc4 with a iso image, with the help of loadlin on usb key, the problem is that after i format the partition as ext3 or ext2 with partition magic or even with in the installation the fc4 doesn't seem to able to access it and give me an error that drive /dev/hda19 cann't be access or busy

and terminates the whole installation

the partition that i m trying to install is logical so pls enlighten me of my mistake

Try leaving the whole partition as unformatted using partition magic.

I just have to say that I have bad experience using PM, and I recommends that you use cfdisk or fdisk. (cfdisk is better for starters)

Parttion Magic has a habit of messing up for linux (and occasionally for windows as well). You should be able to use the partition tool that's provided during instyall to do the partitioning.
