Fedora core 3 sound problem

i have a problem with my fedora core 3
i am using the arts plugin for playing my flash games online and using xmms.
the only problem now is i can't run aMSN and xmms at the same time because the soundcard then says the soundcard maybe blocked etc.
do i have to chage plugin or is it another problem ?

thanks,

It depends on the card and driver. If the card and driver support hardware mixing you should be able to do this, if not you may want to look into software mixing.

good luck.
