Personally I just use the up2date funtionality of Fedora. I find this works very well for me although some people don't like it.

The other thing I use is apt-get (with the GUI "synaptic").

i810

yep, i got an i810 as well and it doesnt work either... ill try adding that option thing...

so where do you usually download fedora updates ?
The default site that Fedora installs is their own site. With all the activity hitting their site you often cannot run up2date at all. Select a good mirror site instead.

Hi,

I too had the same problem with FC3. But I managed to rectify that by disabling the start up progress shown when FC boots up by deleting rhgb in the boot parameters.
