Fedora Core 2 install question

I'm studying for the CompTIA Linux+ 2004 exam, and would like to build a desktop machine runing Fedora Core 2 (the version of FC the exam is based on). I tried installing FC2 to a recent vintage machine, and the installer balked. My instructor suggested that this might have been due to the age of FC2, and that older hardware might be more cooperative. Can anyone provide advice (a web site maybe?) on how to locate HW that will accommodate FC2?

TIA - Brian

I don't know where you could find a site with that info but I've installed it on PIII systems back in that era. You could probably find a free one by posting on your local freecycle list. It seems like the last one I installed it on was a 700MHz AMD box.
