Fedora Core 2 and the Internet....

Alright, I feel really really stupid here... I just installed Fedora Core 2, logged in, and tried getting online.. No luck. I can go to some websites, but only the homepage, can't go to things like Google or Hotmail, can't search but can get to, and it only works every other boot! I don't know what's wrong. I've looked through these forums and checked everything I could, but haven't found a solution. I'm getting frustrated. Please, someone help??
