Fedora Core 1 -> 1.91

I installed a long time ago Fedora Core 1. Now i have downloaded FC2-test2-i386-disc1.iso x4 cd. I burned all cds to cd-rw(md5ums is correct) I tried to install(upgrade), but it wont boot. Cd number 1, dosent have dosutils or something folder. Well, what i suppose to do now?

And sorry my bad english.

Fedora Core2 Test2

I have also experienced the same issue as you.
The boot CD for Fedora Core2 Test2 will not boot on my PII 400 MHz but it will boot on my P4 2.0 GHz.
I am currently running Test1 because of this problem.

I would like to find a solution to this issue.

What I am doing is loading Test1 then using up2date for any upgrades.

Ive had the same problem. Im trying to install The Fedora Core 2 Test 2 on my main linux box, and the CD just refuses to boot, yet when I try to install it on my crap old 533Mhz gateway/webserver box, it works fine. Ive tried reburning the iso onto another disk, but it still wont work. The boot iso on the first CD used for network installs boots when burned to a new CD, but it doesnt see my CD-ROM drive so I cant continue with the install.

Like Larke said there are no utils on the CD to make boot floppies, so is there anything we can do about it?

I have seen other posts about using the fedora core 1 disk and booting using that, but I havnt got it, nor do I feel like downloading another 630MB, after downloading the 2GB of Core 2 Test 2.

Anyone got a work around?

Fedora C2T2 Install

I too had both of these problems:

1) Can't boot to disk 1 of the Fedora C2T2 set.
2) Can't get past 'Select Driver' screen when booting to boot.iso disk.

I did get an install going by booting to the 1st cd of the Fedora Core 1 disk set and then switching to Fedora C2T2 Disk 1 before hitting 'enter' to start the installation.

Hope this helps.
