fedora c2 can't make.sh ati drivers?
I am trying to install the catalyst drivers. I understand I need to build the drivers from the source.
Logged in as root # cd /lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod #./make.sh bash: ./make.sh: Permission denied :((( I checked the ownership and root owns the files I have been stopped cold, yet again... Can anyone help? |
did you make it runnable? with
chmod u+x make.sh then try to run it with ./make.sh did it work? |
THANK YOU,
yes that fixed the run issue Now I have a kernel compatability error and will have to do some more searching. |
heh...from one problem to another. :) but good you got rid of the first one..

seesm to be at least a couple of similar threads on ATI
For the compatibility its most likely that you haven't got the kernel sourcecode installed (the source not the kernel) Yum install kernel-sourcecode Got the driver running for ATI a couple of days ago - glxgears (though no great benchmark) shows 3000+ frames per second, was 40 - 50 before!! Mark |
