I beleive you are referring to the rhgb option that is attached to the kernel boot line.
Not sure what one can change there. My only thoughts is it is there or not. When removed the screen will just be plain text scrolling up. If you recompile the kernel and the kernel supports the video card it would display a linux penguin based on the number of cpus in the computer. If dual processor or dual core 2 penguins show up. If a quad then 4 penguins. I would google for rhgb and see what might exist to edit it. Brian |
