Fedora 9 on install gives disabling IRQ# 19 and hangs

My machine Configuration:
Intel Dual core Processor 1.8 Ghz
1GB RAM Intel Motherboard 160 GB RAM

I Ordered a fedora core 9 DVD My intention was to make a dual boot system with Windows XP and Fedora core 9

But When I boot Fedora DVD it gives disabling IRQ#19 and simply freezes

after some search in Google I found this Error existed in All Fedora Linux distros which has never been fixed I guess

I tried with boot linux acpi=off
and it continued It checked for media and gave message "success"
When I press Enter It ejected the DVD and another error Message just said OK it kept on ejecting DVD after pressing enter

Any Idea what should be done in BIOS set up to get rid of this Error

I have Windows XP SP2 which is working absolutely fine

I had a different machine with low confguration of RAM and CPU in past where in I had installed Suse 9.2
& whose installation was very smooth indeed with windows xp dual boot

Anyone can provide info where in I can order Suse 11 DVD
as my internet speed does not allow me to download an ISO of 4.0 GB

Thanks and regards

That is a kernel issue, not much you can do about it directly. Of course, you can try updating your BIOS, that has been known to resolve some such issues. You can also try booting with irqpoll and/or noapic nolapic options.

hi,
i have same problem with fedora core 4 but i just find that if you disable your onboard sound card in bios, linux will keep going on boot time with no error, but clearly your sound system will not work.
i am looking for the reason and i would appreciate you telling me if you find out,
thanks
parham
