Fedora 8 installation problem
Hi All,
I am a linux newbie, I want to install Fedora 8 into my computer and my computer is using window XP. However, I had a problem while installing Fedora8. I downloaded the Fedora-8-i386-DVD.iso from the internet. After i choose install or upgrade an existing system with (GUI) and my computer was idle with the following messages: Loading vmlinuz................. Loading initrd.img.......................................................................................... ...... Ready. I have been waiting for more than half an hours but still didnt get any response and i tried to use text mode to do the installation but get the same messages from the above. Therefore, I would like to ask anyone can give me some advice. Thank you very much. The following is my computer configure: Computer Dell Dimension 5150 Micosoft Window XP SP2 (Home Edition), CPU: Pentium 4 3.00GHz (32 bits) 1GB RAM 160 GB SATA HDD |
