Angry Fedora 8

So i got Fedora 8 up and running! packages 100% installed!!! FINALY!!

but...

X wont start...

so i loaded up Slax and check out Kinfoview to see what PCI cards are in my computer...

VIA is the Manufacturer... so i searched the net for VIA..

WONDERFULLY to my advantage the site i found is www.viaarena.com where the company not only hosts drivers for linux but exactly for Fedora! NICE!!

So now i load up Fedora, unpack the tgz's and install them right??

WHAT ELSE COULD GO WRONG

I would have expected Fedora 8 to have drivers for just about any video card. What exactly is the card?

In principle, you can always get running by specifying the vesa driver in /etc/X11/xorg.conf Let us know if you want to try this and need specific instructions.

You can also try running "xorgsetup" or "xorgconfig" At least one of these should be included in your system.
