Fedora 3 Sound Problems
Installed fedora Core 3 over Redhat 9. After installation was complete I can only hear sounds if my speakers are plugged into the headset socket on my sound card. Also I can barely hear the sounds.
Any suggestions on how I go about fixing this?
I've checked the sound mixer and nothing is muted. I have the same problem if i'm logged in as root or as a regular user.
Thanks
Gina

Open a console, and type the command alsamixer. FC3 uses alsa... I think this was after RH9. Anyway, most people end up with it on mute or something silly. Try adjusting the volume here.

I think it just saves automagically. I make my adjustments, then hit escape and that's that.
Did it resolve your problem?
