Fedora 17 KDE 4.8.4 wireless setup.
Hi all,
This is my first post. Few days ago, I installed GNOME Desktop, the wireless could work will. And I removed it, installed Fedora 17 KDE from a live cd. The wired connection could work, but I can't make a wireless connection, it could not scan any SSID. My chipset is Intel 3945ABG. I could saw the driver is iwl3945 in NetworkManager. Could anyone help me please? Thanks! Problem solved! Thanks all anyway! |

The details of the steps could find on Google. |
Thanks for that Sunny 2038.
Discovered my problem was different to yours. KDE seems to struggle with hidden wifi unlike Gnome. I always switch off my SSID broadcast and even if you type in the SSID it still can't find it. Problem is solved if you switch broadcast back on. Once your network is detected and saved you can switch broadcast off again. |
