fedora 14 with modem not connect

I've tried setting usb_modeswitch wvdial etc ..
modem has been detected as a modem fff1 but still could not connect to the internet ... I try to use the network connection settings still can not ..
so what should I do?
What are the important way to connect to the internet ...: D
