Fedora 11:-Problem After Update
 

hii, i m very new to this site.. and come to know about this site from one of my frnd who is regular user of it.


Acutally i m using two OS windows XP as well as Fedora 11 in my IBM R52 system
so while starting it ask for my booting options choice.
now when i updated my fedora 11 and when ever now i start my system it ask for 3 booting option 2 from fedora and the 3rd one from windows XP.

how do i solve this problem.?

This is not a "problem," it is totally normal. Let me explain.

When you updated your system, you got a new "kernel" (the heart of Linux). So now you have 2 kernels in your boot menu: the new kernel and the old kernel (plus a 3rd option for Windows). This is a good thing. It means you can test the new kernel to make sure it works well on your hardware. If you have any problems with the new kernel, you can easily boot the old kernel. It is good to always have at least 2 options, in my opinion. :)

first of all i want to thank u for ur reply.
another problem i m facing that i tried to install ms office font many times but it doesnt getting install..
what should i do to install it.. please help
