Fedora 10 unable to connect to internet with mi wireless device

My notebook sees my wireless card but with the network manager under the tab of wireless it doesn't sees it.
The only parameters that I now are the SSID and the WAP key, but I do not now how to connect.
I don't now what to do, I'm new on linux and no nothing about kernel so I would need a simple answer maybe risolving the question without going to touch the source code..
P: escuse for my english but I'm italian.
I would be very thankful if someone could help me...

on my laptod i have to hold some blue 'fn' key + f2 to turn on the wireless radio...

what do you get from:

lspci
dmesg
ifconfig
iwconfig

Did you try to open "Netwok" in System-Administration-Network and edit your wireless connection.Did you entered your WAP key and tried to connect then?

Thanks a lot.
I would first open xterm or any terminal software and check lspci and lsmod and post those here. You can output those commands to a file by doing the following.

Post those here where we can help you out further.

it looks like the module is loaded. can you check to see if you have the 4965-firmware installed. also what does ifconfig -a output. can you also tell us what firmware you have this can be done by issuing an
