I have feeling it's a bad live cd image. The internet at my house is slow so I didn't have a chance to DL the DVD image like usual. I'll try to DL that once I get back to school on Sat. or Sun. and I'll let you know.

Thanks for all the help last night and this morning. Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

It isn't a bad image. I've checked the image integrity and MD5sum. I have the exact same laptop as you, and it is hanging at exactly the same spot. It loads fine on my desktop.

no worries at all. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, too

For the wlan problem I'm wondering if it's an issue with the default wireless drivers.

Check out this link - about halfway through the page they hit Fedora; it starts out with Ubuntu.

If that solves your problem, you might have to customize your live CD or write an extra script to ramdisk to re-init the driver and save the new driver package.

Let me know. This problem is baffling - especially since I don't have the same laptop as you

Best wishes,

Just got F10 working tonight and I am very excited. All I did was re-DL the DVD because the other one had errors and upgraded from a F9 install. Can't believe I didn't think of that before. Disk checking saved my life and I love how NetworkManager "Just Works."
