Fedora (1) installed with no problems but hangs when reboot laptop
Hello Having strange problems with CORE 1 on my laptop, Installation completed without a Hitch. All Devices where detected correctly. But when the machine rebooted Fedora refused to boot up and seemed to crash when the PCMCIA was being probed.
The Laptop I am using Fijitsu siemens Amilo D The last line displayed on the console when the boot crashed is: Yenta IRQ list 0218 PCI IRQ10 Socket status: 30000006 Can somebody help me on this issue please. |
in the bootloader (im assuming grub), press e then go down a line and press e again, at the very end of the line, add "single"
then your machine will dump you in a base shell, type in "chkconfig pcmcia off" and then "shutdown -r now" this will turn off pcmcia on boot and reboot your machine btw, this problem was fixed in fedora core 2 |
