fdisk sees my harddrive but kde doesn't
 

i am running suse 10.1 with kde. i installed the secondary hard drive as primary on ide1 i partitioned and formated it. bios and fdisk can see it but my computer in the kde desktop cannot

Did you add it to the /etc/fstab so that it will be mounted for you ? That is most likely what the problem is.
