fdisk/partitioning in general question

i have 10 gig hard drive with win98 on it. i want to create a partition without having to destroy all the data i already have on there. id like to not have to buy partition magic. is doing this possible?

i saw an option to 'create partition out of free space' on one of the partition programs the slackware boot cd came with. what does that mean?

It will try to do it's best in not jacking up your existing partition, and using up any free space in winbloze to make a partition that you can install Linux on.

Now, YES you can resize Win98 with a program called FIPS. Check www.tucows.com for a copy.

If you have a network connection, make sure you back your data
up first.
