Hi all,

Am running BT5 R2 in Vmware and Win7 is my Host OS.
I want to mount C drive onto BT5 R2 and I went through
the tutorials online. But am stuck at the very first step.

fdisk -l does not show my Windows drive. Please check the attachment.

Please help.

Course it doesn't, virtual machines only have access to what you give them access to. They never have full access to the raw drive, especially hard drives. What are you trying to accomplish? You should be able to do it with shared folders in VMWare.

Thanks for the quick reply :) So I shared the C:/ using the Shared Folders
option in Vmware but the problem persists. Please check the attachment
to get a clear picture.

VMware is sharing the folders to the host using network shares. It is not giving the guest OS access to a physical disk. How to use shared folders on Linux machines is described in the manual.
